Sasaki-san got some really good waves yesterday. i think he caught more waves than the locals? haha.
and the lefts were super good. long and perfect to practice for the cutback.
and the rights were pretty good too. lucky to get a few good ones.

most people have mixed emotions about what happened on 3/11/11. i sure do. but it’s been six years so my emotions filled up with so many positive things. if it wasn’t for the tsunami, i wouldn’t know any one of these beautiful people from Ishinomaki. we had a great time last night talking about life. how to appreciate it, and how to enjoy it. thank you Nobu-san, Shin-kun, Etsuko-san, Chizu-san, and Masae-san for the beautiful time, beautiful smiles, and karaoke in the sea. We Are One!
gosh, the night was as perfect as can be. star watching, singing japanese songs, stopped by the police, and enjoying Hawaii from the most beautiful spot on the earth, the ocean.
