when i was cleaning the bottom of Mayuki, i found a hole in the hull. cold be from a turtle, a log, or the anchor. couldn’t sleep that night because i knew it was taking in water. so went down the next day to fix it. they sell this incredible epoxy that is waterproof and will cure under water. amazing.
this is the part that sucks. you can’t drive the boat after you fix it for 6 hours so there is only one way.
to fix it right in the dirty harbor. omg!
i had a friend that actually died from falling in this harbor. he died 2 days later from a bacterial infection disease. so you know what was on my mind when i was going in.
i fixed it as fast as i could all in 2 breaths. then i came out and washed my body off with clorox. haha. like i said, you wouldn’t be able to pay me a million bucks to do something like this for you. but when it comes to something i love, i’ll do anything.
i have a Chinese chef that loves a particular fish i can catch with my eyes closed. so whenever i see one in the ocean, i don’t actually see the fish, i see a plate of noodles swimming in front of me. i gave him his fish, he gave me his noodles. everybody happy!
want to thank Abe-san for the goodies from Tohoku. i’m super happy to see such amazing food coming out of Tohoku after all they’ve been through. We Are One!
