if you want to start short boarding, start on a longboard. then work your way down slowly to a shortboard. you will get better way faster.
speaking about longboading, i use to sit on a longboard and take water shots on every south swell at Queen’s. i’d see my sister out there enjoying the playful surf. i still can’t believe she had 5 kids!
speaking of her kids, here is Isaiah on the nose. i use to love to watch his smooth style!
then the chubby Joshua. he must have been only 10 years old when i took this photo.
and Seth even younger. all the kids started off long boarding and when they jumped on a shortboard, they were instantly good!
the only one who stayed on a longboard was Kelia. and she won two World Championships ever since.
thought i’d show you a photo of the King Tide. this was low tide, the lowest it will ever get. hundred people can probably sand bathe on this beautiful white sandy beach.
and this is the King Tide. there is absolutely no beach and if you were sun bathing, you would get swept into the ocean. see the difference?
