i don’t know why some of my blogs don’t upload. either i’m falling asleep before i hit the “post” button, or someone is hacking me. anyway, here is one that never got uploaded. more to follow…

if the waves are small, you can duck dive. if the waves are big, you have to free dive. i taught Maichan how to do both and this is why she can make it out to the outside on the biggest days of the summer.

and yes, the waves yesterday afternoon were still way overhead.

Maichan’s goal was to ride a high performance short board. her goal was achieved as she went flying down this wave on a 5’8.

and the smaller the board, the easier to duck dive.

good girl Maichan!

after she duck dove for the first time, she told me “it feels so good!” it looks so good too!

happy rides and happy faces.

we surfed for 3 hours and we were both tired. i can’t believe how much time i’m putting in the ocean! my next vacation might be in a mountain or something. haha.

nice new board Maichan. you can be the next Kelia Moniz!
