we left Kimura-san’s house at yesterday morning at 5:45am and got to our final destination at 4pm in the evening. a long journey but had fun along the way.
we arrived in Taipei and jumped on the bus to the next airport. we pull up to another terminal and i seen somebody familiar standing in the line. omg, it was Hayato! it was so funny.
so here we are, the 3 amigos. we did the same exact thing 2 years ago and had a wonderful time. that’s probably the reason why we’re doing it all over again.
it’s so crazy how developed Taiwan is. tall buildings everywhere.
so stoked to see Hayato. we’ve been friends for many years and have shared some classic moments around the world. a true example of a lifetime friendship. a friendship i treasure.
Kimura-san hasn’t been feeling the best recently. hasn’t been surfing at all so it was my mission to get this man back on the board.
propeller airplanes are so cool! i just wonder if one was to break?
we arrived in Taitung, rented a car, and first stop was Taiwan tea.
the people are so friendly here. always helpful and very trustful. such a wonderful country.
three teas for three amigos on the go.
got to Mori-san’s house and going to enjoy this palace for the next few days. so stoked!
my goal on this trip is to get Kimura-san looking forward again. not only in surfing, but in everything. so far so good! we had the most wonderful evening session yesterday with just the 3 of us out. surfing in the pure nature with your friends is what you call a dream surf trip. makes you realize what’s important and what’s not important in life.
i’m up at 3:30am doing this blog. going to wake up the boys at 4:30am and go for a sunrise surf. then eat breakfast, take a nap, and surf again. have a wonderful day!
