Boot Camp Day 7: Nao-san getting scolded a lot, but getting much better a lot. haha. Asayama-san sent me a text saying how good Nao-san is surfing. i told him “yes she is!”
i tell Nao-san every time she comes here: i can either baby you and praise you for everything and make you feel good. OR, i can be strict and honest. she always chooses the second. and it’s been paying off!
stoked to see this kid surfing super good recently. his dream is to become a pro surfer and i’ll bet anyone that dream will come true.
i totally forgot about Aunty’s Ramen until Nao-san mentioned it today. so happy to go back and enjoy the best ramen on the island.
surfed with another Mystery Surfer this afternoon. we totally scored the most amazing waves! i can’t tell you where that was because i know tomorrow will be super good too!
these next photos are from Nao-san:
if you’re on the land, the minimum drinking age in Hawaii is 21 years old. but if you’re in the ocean, there is no minimum age. so you can drink alcohol even if you’re 10 years old. i think that’s crazy because i must have seen a hundred little kids drinking alcohol yesterday. so sad… alcohol and ocean don’t mix well.
after 3 taxi rides out to surf yesterday, went into pick up the gang for the fireworks festival.
everybody loves Mayuki! this is the best thing that’s come into my life. it made it even more wonderful than it already was.
we had the best seats in the house floating in the ocean for the fireworks show. it was so amazing.
everybody already signed up for next year so Mayuki is full for 2018!
