my good friend was staying in a hotel in Waikiki so went to check him out. such an amazing view from his beautiful room!
felt good breathing the fresh trade wind air.
this was our spot for the afternoon. i was telling my friends that we should do this more often. just sit on the beach and watch the tourists. the best “people watching” seats in the world.
full summer in full swing now!
i promised this little girl to take her surfing a while ago. so i was more excited than her paddling out to catch the first wave. the first thing she said when she saw me on the surfboard was “Uncle Kirby, why are you so dark???” haha.
and when we rode our first wave, she just jumped up and enjoyed the ride! we caught 5 long waves and she wanted more and more. we had a blast weaving in and out of all he tourists in the water. haha.
the white sandy bottom makes the water color in Waikiki so beautiful.
came home and ate some Hawaiian food for dinner. oh i love it!
left the airport going 70mph on the freeway. i didn’t realize that’s 112km???? omg, lucky my suitcase didn’t fall off the back of the bike. haha. but it surely felt great with the cool wind blowing off my face. i was yelling “FREEDOM” the whole way home!!!
