Okada-san caught some really good waves yesterday morning. he told me he’s never seen himself surfing in a photo. well, here it is Okada-san! i would be stoked if this was my first ever photo!
this kid surfs super good for only 3 years experience.
i ask “have you ever eaten poke before?” he replies “only once from a supermarket.” haha. i laugh and tell him “what if i went to Japan and ate sushi from a supermarket?” then we laughed together. so we went to Da Hawaiian Poke Company!
had a 1 hour break so went to look for a new toy. i’m not a good fisherman because i am very impatient. i’m not trying to learn patience so this might be the way to do it. haha. picking up my new pole and reel today.
surfed in the afternoon yesterday with Kawabe-san. got off the flight from Japan and rode some nice waves.
when we paddled out, it was totally empty! i’m not sure if Kawabe-san knows how lucky he was. in surfing, timing is everything!
still haven’t downloaded the photos off my camera from Japan. too busy to do that. and yes, i’m still looking for a secretary. haha.
