so stoked to see the minimum cab fare go down to 410 yen. i’ll be using it more often.
it’s unbelievable how good the quality of the sushi is here! omg, i was in heaven last night! people ask “why can’t we have these in Hawaii.” the answer is simple, “it’s impossible!”
this is just the appetizer. the freshest of the freshest.
i’ve been coming to Japan for 25 years but never had ikura like this before. right when it goes in your mouth, it explodes and just melts all over your taste buds.
after my first pieces of sushi, i was completely satisfied. if i flew back to Hawaii after that, i’d still be super happy.
i don’t eat maguro in Hawaii. the reason is nothing comes even close to this. i just be patient and wait for the chance to come to this very special place.
the o-toro just melts in your mouth like butter. close your eyes and enjoy the best piece of fish in the world.
the exploding ikura was my favorite.
and the uni was amazing too.
and i just had to sample the clam. unbelievable.
we’ve only known each other for 6 years but it feels like i’ve known Inaida-san and Yuki-san for 20 years. i think it’s because of all the wonderful experiences we had together in Japan and traveling all over the world. lots to talk about and lots to laugh about. and the funny thing is that the whole world of people changes everyday, but not Inaida-san and Yuki-san. they live a very simple and happy lifestyle. the same lifestyle i’m striving for. someday, it will happen. hopefully soon. haha. cheers guys!
Mayuki. the best way to close out an amazing night in Tokyo!
