Ogaki-san is from Tochigi-ken. a super cool surfer that surfs at Oarai in Ibaraki. seems like i’ve been meeting so many surfers from Oarai recently? anyway, it’s Ogaki-san’s first time to Hawaii, and his first surfing day here. when we got out, the first thing he said was “wow, the view is so beautiful! and the water is so clear!” haha. i could see how stoked he was as we waited in the glassy conditions for our first wave.

he was super stoked! can’t you tell? haha.
then i was teaching him how to turn left and right.
and when Ogaki-san took off and rode the right all the way to the end, he was so stoked.

then Mr. Monk Seal swam by to say hi.
i had to make sure i got the photo.
i was watching him go hunting. i think he was looking for tako. but Ogaki-san was pretty lucky to see a Hawaiian Monk Seal on his first experience in the water in Hawaii. very lucky!

then went surfing with Rikita-san this afternoon. arrived this morning and surfing till sunset. hard core!
