then i told him that someone had a present for him. so he knew right away that he had to close his eyes for the surprise.
he was trying so hard to close his eyes, and also trying so hard to peak. haha.
then when he saw it, he was so stoked!

last night was hilarious! we went night birthday bowling. had some drinks, some good food, some strikes, and lots of laughing. this was Maki-san’s first throw. and guess what? yeah, gutter ball! she missed everything! haha.
then some strikes to make up. then more gutter balls. haha.
then they turned off the lights, put on the loud music, and we were cosmic bowling! it’s been years since i’ve done this so i had lots of fun! Reid was my bowling coach all night. and when i wasn’t listening, he told me “see, you better not get mad when your customers don’t listen to you!” haha.
got up early this morning and had a great time with Murai-san and Imura-san. lots of surfing and lots of eating. it’s so funny how Murai-san reminded me so much of Kimura-san. when i was talking to him, i almost called him Kimura-san a couple of times. haha. surfing memories coming tomorrow…
