most people have different definitions of a “Power Spot.” some follow guidebooks, and nowadays, most follow social media. i don’t follow either so if you ask me, a “Power Spot” is a place where i feel at ease, i feel comfortable, i feel happy, and i feel content. i have hundreds of places in Hawaii that i consider “Power Spots.”
as we were eating lunch yesterday, Mayumi-san requested for me to take her to some power spots. that got me thinking. then as lunch went on, she also asked me to take her to Chinaman’s Hat. she wanted to go back there because she went there 20 years ago with her Grandpa and Mother. i said “ok, let’s go!”
right when we got there, i could feel Mayumi-san’s energy just by looking at her. words can’t describe what she was feeling. i could tell she had a real connection with this place, i could tell her memories were coming back like it was just yesterday. she told me of her wonderful memories at this very same spot with her Grandpa and Mother. this place was Mayumi-san’s “Power Spot.” this is where she feels at ease, this is where she feels happy, and this is where she feels content. in my eyes, this is what a “Power Spot” is all about.
as we were walking through the field, you could feel the happiness in everyone as the wind was blowing in our faces.
stopped by the Makapuu Lookout on the way back. freaking amazing! thank you guys again for a wonderful day of surfing and power spotting!
i stopped using Airbnb last year because of one reason. i thought there were crazy owners in this world that would probably put a hidden camera in the rooms they rented out. and guess what? there are! this Airbnb room had a hidden camera right above the bed for 2 years. omg!
you can’t even have privacy in the ocean anymore too? this is my hidden camera and this guy has no idea i even took this photo. haha.
