Taishi-san hasn’t been in the ocean for 15 years. so taking him out for his first surf session of his life was exciting for me. i’m sure he was nervous but after he caught this first ride, he was super calm and relaxed.
and pretty happy too.
we ended up surfing for a while and went to the outside to ride the big waves after this.
older brother Nakahodo-san was already on the outside riding some nice waves.
and i’m yelling “look forward” all the way. Nakahodo-san even points forward. good boy!
enjoyed the colorful afternoon with the brothers. thanks guys and hope to see you again soon!
scored some nice snacks from Nakahodo-san. all this was gone in 2 days. so good!
supposed to rain and be super windy the past few days. but i didn’t see that? summer is still here. water temperature is 81 degrees F so 27.2 degrees C. outside temperature is 86 degrees F, and 30 degrees C. and body temperature is perfect!
had a blast on our last boat trip. Naoka was very lucky to be here at the perfect time. just the other night, Seth came and told me “hey uncle, i’m here for the next 3 months so let me know when you go.” i told him, “you have to wait in line.” haha
whenever there is the letter “R” in the spelling of the month, it is considered lobster season. so right now is the time for lobsters. can’t wait to go get some more, make sashimi, make miso soup, and make my family and friends very happy! i already blocked off some days for that to happen. and that’s going to happen pretty soon!
