lots of people can easily fish from the boat for tuna. but jumping into the deep blue ocean chasing it with a spear with the great white sharks is something else. something i always wanted to do and something i can finally cross off my bucket list.
about a hundred people came up to me to talk about the episode aired last month. it’s crazy how many people watch that show. Hawaii Skin Diver TV showed the fishing tale of us 3 friends chasing our dreams.
yes, we were prepared.
our amigo boat men played a huge role.
i dreamt about this for many years. but when it comes to nature, you just don’t know. so when you have the chance of a lifetime, you have to take the shot. some people go home with empty dreams, and some people go home with a memory of a lifetime.
and this is not the kind of dream you can accomplish alone. you need team support both mentally and physically. the chance of dying is pretty dam high so you better go with people you can trust your life with. in this case, it was Kyle and Johnathan.
shooting it is the easy part, securing it and getting it on the boat is the hard part. this tuna took me for a ride but there was no way i was going to let go. it’s like riding in a wild horse rodeo on one breath. haha.
and the fish you catch tastes better than any fish in the world. sashimi every night! want to thank Kyle and Johnathan for your support in making my tuna dream come true. now i’m officially retired. haha.
now let’s get back to yesterday. rain equals rainbows. Kawamata-san under the rainbow.
gosh, i love my life!
i tried my best to get a shot with the rainbow in the back. stoked Mother Nature cooperated.
