when we heard that the elementary school in kobuchihama’s kids lost all their kendo gear in the tsunami, it wasn’t a hard to figure out what to do. buy them kendo gear. thanks to kiku-chan for the info, and matsu for ordering the equipment, these kids dreams to become master kendo competitors will continue.
martial arts teaches respect and discipline. it all starts from great teachers that passes it down to the kids. as i was sitting in the class watching, i was thinking to myself “i wish it is mandatory for every kid in hawaii to attend a martial arts class.” i was truly amazed.
it wasn’t candy or toys that made these kids happy, it was new equipment that made them realize that things are getting back to normal.
this kids going to be a though one. he made his serious fighting face. so cute.
nothing in the world makes me happier than to see a little girl smiling like this.
who ever donated to “we are one” deserves all the credit. our team is working effortlessly to make things happen and when your donations make it hand to hand the people who need it the most, you can sleep good at night thinking that you are a part of this. just look at the smiles of the kendo club of kobuchihama.
*and once again, thank you matsu for taking these awesome photos. we are one continues.
