a chilly night in Tokyo. i’m learning how to adapt to change again. my body is finally adapted to coldness after surfing in the morning, and my jet lag is completely gone to my wonderful 9 hour sleep last night. i’m feeling great!
bus, train, taxi, or car. i’ll take anything because i don’t like to walk. haha.
we walked into the finest and most underground sushi restaurant in the world. so underground that only a few know. and to tell you the truth, i wouldn’t want this place being exposed because once you go there, you will definitely go back. even a guy like me flies all the way from Hawaii just to eat here. it’s that addicting!
this is the start. it’s not just food, it’s Japanese art!
omg, ever had sashimi melt in your mouth before?
this is O-Toro. the best and most expensive piece of blue fin ahi you will ever find. put it in your mouth, close your eyes, and enjoy the ride. my whole life, i didn’t realize how good food can make people so happy! i feel like the happiest man on the earth!
and i can’t stop drinking these delicious premium beers! after a few, i was feeling even happier than i was before. haha.
then more food to follow. this is sharako which is one of my most favorite seafood in the world. i would even choose this over lobster.
and dashi tamago with the most amazing texture. fluffy seasoned egg!
then like always, Inaida-san takes me to sip on his fine collection of custom whisky. my new favorite is “Memories.” such a cool name!
opps, forgot my last scallop sushi! omg, i want more already!
we have the most craziest conversations. talking about different things in life. laughing pretty loud and having fun like teenagers. it’s been 7 years since i met Inaida-san and Yuki-san in Hawaii. surfing has brought us together and we have the greatest “Memories” ever!
i woke up this morning and looked at the photos from last night. i couldn’t stop laughing! haha. this world is such a beautiful place filled with beautiful people. thank you again Inaida-san and Yuki-san for the wonderful time. i’m going to start working on my new business plan for next year. i’m so excited! see you guys again soon!
