pulled up to Pipeline this morning and couldn’t believe how big the waves were??? a lot of people couldn’t believe it because the buoys were small. what a treat! perfect Pipeline and Backdoor.
the beach was empty early in the morning.
but filled up pretty fast.
Asayama-san and Nao-san with great seats!
went to the Billabong house and luckily Kelia Moniz was there to greet her number 1 fan! this is such a cool photo!
trying to take a nap and somebody playing a joke on me. haha.
congratulations John John Florence on his 2nd straight world title! it was a very entertaining day!
got these photos from our outer island trip from Nao-san. shot on the iPhone X. the morning patrol.
Asayama-san told me “wow, it looks like Jurassic Park.” yeah, this is something you would see out of a movie.
the lighting, the air, the mist, the mountains, and everything was so magical.
we are all in total awe!
and it didn’t stop there. more gorgeous scenes.
we kept on going and going. watching and watching. it was incredible. nobody but ourselves!
and the water was as clean as the ocean can possibly be.
then the whales were out to greet us on our long voyage home. it was so peaceful.
and yeah, like i said before, the water was as clean as the ocean can possibly be.
thank you Nao-san for the amazing photos.
