ever since we started foiling 3 months ago, i can see Tony transforming into a young man again. more muscles, more lean, more happy, and just more positive in everything. lots of surfers don’t even know who he is but all i can say is “this Hawaiian Tony Moniz is back!”
and Micah turned out to be a well respected face on the North Shore and this whole island. and it’s not by being 6’2 and 230lbs, it’s by being kind and respectful.
the biggest coolest kid you will ever meet. just please don’t get him pissed because i can’t help you if that happens.
watching my best friend Carter loving the ocean more than ever makes me so happy. our surfing stories never end, and the beers are tasting even better than ever. look at this beautiful glide across the calm ocean. i took this photo on my foil so it’s kind of like a drone shot. haha.
i take off at Rockpiles left, start my line towards Bowls right, holding on for my life.
then i see Micah doing the opposite. taking off at Bowls right and flying straight towards me. he yells “Go Uncle!” i’m thinking “please don’t run me over. i’m still new at this.” haha.
and when you have Father and Son flying down the line, get the heck out of the way immediately. that’s 2 flying Hawaiians coming straight for you. i actually see some surfers try to drop in and i just watch and shake my head thinking “you’re freaking crazy!”
was happy to see Hikaru-san in the water yesterday because i just found out the next color for my new board i will order. Deep Purple!
seen Mai-chan out too but she went the opposite way when i was trying to get a photo. haha.
NEWS: if you know or see this guy, call the POLICE immediately! he tried to kidnap a 9 year old girl from a game room at Ala Moana Shopping Center. luckily the girl kicked him and got away. please stay close to your kids everybody because this guy is still roaming the streets… scary.
