another Golden Week Boot Camp day consisting of 3 rounds with total 7 hours of surfing. was cold, but very warm smiles…
as a surf instructor, my goal is to get husband and wife, girlfriend or boyfriend, parent and child, or any group that i take out together on one single wave. and as a photographer, my goal is to get that shot of that wave. not just any normal one, but something exactly like this! Ueda-san and Mayumi-san sharing their lives together, and also sharing a wave together. both of my goals were achieved in this single photo! so stoked!
then the rest is easy. look how big this wave is!!!
and look how big this wave is!!! each day is one level up!
Ueda-san told me today that he wants to surf forever. i know exactly what he means. look how good he’s surfing!
you guys did great! bigger waves and bigger smiles! see you tomorrow for another day of Boot Camp!
then took Rie-san out for her Boot Camp training. bigger smiles much better surfing. that’s what i like to see!
Rie-san didn’t like to go left, so that’s why i made her go left all day today. and guess what? now she likes to go left.
yes, i have the best view in the world! even when it’s cloudy, everything is beautiful!
then spent the evening with Kimura-san. just landed at Honolulu Airport today, and day 1 Boot Camp right after. today was a day of surfers being surfers…
have hundreds of photos that i have to post before i forget. didn’t even get to download all the photos from my Indo trip yet but will get to that as soon as Golden Week passes. but for now, here are a couple from Molokai when i was diving with Joshua. we were just floating around in the blue water so i told him, i’ll go shoot a fish, cut it up, let the small fish and sharks come, then maybe something delicious will swing by. so i speared this fish and started the process…
30 minutes later, we had 3 big delicious fish for our bbq party to follow. and the best thing about it, i have a precious memory with my nephew that will be etched in our minds forever. that’s priceless…
