i had the most wonderful Golden Week Boot Camp with Ueda-san and Mayumi-san. after surfing with them for 5 days straight, i got to know them very well. they are the coolest people from Kobe.
Ueda-san has come a very long way. he’s surfing so relaxed and calm now. so good to watch.
for the past 5 days, Mayumi-san caught the longest waves of each and every day.
super smooth, smiling, and enjoying the ride. she kept on telling me that she didn’t want to leave Hawaii.
Ueda-san is a newborn surfer.
stoked to see Miwa-san out surfing so much on this trip. compared to her last trip, she’s surfing twice and much, and catching 4x the amount of waves.
ever since i went to Japan 28 years ago, it was my dream to connect people. today, we all connected. here is Miwa-san and Mai-chan meeting for the first time.
surfing and having a great time together. everybody improving so that makes me so happy. good wave Mai-chan.
Ueda-san didn’t plan to surf on the day he leaves, but i’m sure he’s glad they did. probably had a nice sleep on the airplane, then probably dreaming about all the perfect waves he caught.
exchanging contacts and a bridge is formed. Shikoku will probably be their next surf destination. have fun guys!
thank you all for the wonderful surfing day in paradise.
paddled straight back out with Rie-san, then foiled Rock Piles with Judy and Miwa-san in the evening. a complete day in the ocean.
then went to celebrate Cinco de Mayo and my nieces birthday over Mexican food and Corona beer. i’m so sleepy. goodnight!
