woke up yesterday morning and walked to my refrigerator to get my kombucha. looked out the window and saw this!
yeah, this is what i see almost every morning where i live. no rain, no rainbows…
went to Chinatown and watched the lion dance. it was pretty cool!
then wanted to test my luck and get a flight to Japan. so packed up and headed to the airport.
waited for a while with lots of uncertainty. that’s the life of flying on standby.
everybody boards the flight and guess what? the flight is full!!! so i tell the bird, “it’s time to go home.”
if you are a nervous or stressed out person, i suggest you try to travel on standby. it will teach you how to go with the flow. it will teach you how to keep calm. and it will teach you that stress won’t help a thing. try it and you’ll either love it or hate it.
sometimes things aren’t meant to be. so if things don’t work out, just come home and try again. i left my travel bags and clothes right near my front door. i ain’t unpacking until i try a couple more times.
so i come home, grab my foil, and foil into freedom! so yes, i can’t complain if things don’t go my way because i’ll find something fun to do.
the waves were amazing! foiled waves that weren’t even breaking. feeling like the bird at the airport. freedom!!!
