there is a dolphin craze going on here in hawaii. big tour boats loaded with hundreds of tourists chasing dolphins all day, everyday, all year around. i kind of feel sorry for the dolphins because i’ve seen tour boats cut off their path, make them turn around, and interrupt their natural lives. dolphins are cool, relaxing, and when you swim up to them in the wild and look into their eye, you can actually see them smiling at you. i don’t bother them by chasing them around. we pass them once in a while while diving but pretty much let them go on their way. i actually feel safe in the ocean when their around.
i haven’t been shooting photos recently because i’ve been so busy surfing. so yesterday i got up, decided to do something different. i loaded my canon camera in my housing, thew my longboard on my car, and drove out looking for some action with my binoculars. i know where they are everyday, and i know how to find them by boat, or car. i must have paddled a mile to meet up with these amazing dolphins in their natural habitat. i would have paddled 5 miles for hours to experience something like this.
i have the best camera gear and when i find the time to use it, i can capture some really amazing moments. check out the 2 dolphins loving each other. cool!
after yesterday, i realized that nobody in this world has a better life than me. i enjoy every minute of the day, and every breath i take. life doesn’t get any better! or does it?
**i’m thinking of starting out Go-Naminori Dolphin Tours. pull up, paddle out, play with the dolphins. no boat, no gas, no smell, and no harassing. just flowing with nature. want to come?
