yesterday was crazy. wanted to get a few waves before the long night ahead. so grabbed a wave, grabbed a rail, and had a blast…
as we approached the Aloha Stadium, we could hear the people yelling and the music start playing. so yeah, we started running!!!
we got in right as “Welcome to the Jungle” started playing. Guns and Roses live for the first time in Hawaii!
i couldn’t believe how many people were there! everybody standing and screaming!
the concert lasted for 3.5 hours and they played every single song from all their albums!!!
when i was going to college, all i use to listen to was Guns and Roses. so every song had a great meaning, and a very great memory. the $14 beers were tasting really good!
it had to be one of the best concerts i’ve ever been to. the stage was amazing, the pyrotechnics were amazing, and the vibe was amazing!
Kazu-san is my concert buddy. we’ve been to Journey, Earth Wind and Fire, and many many more concerts in Hawaii. so when a band from the 80’s is coming, we’re there. and like always, Kazu-san brings out his air guitar and jams for us. it’s so classic!
every song they played brought back many memories from the early 1990’s. studying with college friends, surfing the North shore, Fraternity parties, football games, bars, clubs, and all the good stuff that comes with youth. i couldn’t remember too many things from school, but i still remember every lyric to every song that Guns and Roses sang. and i’ll never forget it.
hey guys, thanks for the amazing night! let me know when the next concert is. i’m in for sure!!!
