good evening. weird surf in the morning because the winds were trying to come back trades. well, after it finally kicked in, the waves cleaned up and there was some fun surf in town. i checked it and said forget it. i’m still on a high from indonesia and don’t want it to go away yet. i know that once i take off on my first wave here in hawaii, it’s going to be “back to reality”…. and i ain’t ready for reality….
and how’s the news recently? the good thing about being on a boat is you miss news. and the news has been pretty bad. for the past 6 days, investors lost $5,000,000,000,000, that’s 5 trillion dollars. and that’s only in america. other countries got hit just as hard. the worlds economy heading down and the future looking dismal. pretty scary. i wish i could jump on a boat, live off the ocean, and get away from the bad news. as soon as i save enough money, i think i’ll do that….
i just found out that hayato maki and his family scored the cover shot for the surfer girls magazine in japan. they did an article on cool surfer couples and they made the right choice by choosing the coolest one. wanted to say congratulations to hayato, mari, karen, and momo-chan…. good job!!!
