November 3, 2023 Hawaii Surf Report

Back to the waiting game…

Good morning 5:10am.
North shore chest high and good.
Ala Moana waist high and good.
Diamond Head chest high and good.
Light winds in the morning, trade winds coming back today.
Sunny and warm.
Going to the sea.
Have a wonderful day!

One Day Late

Woke up to another beautiful day.  Light winds, warm water, clear sky, and perfect waves.  Hashimoto-san with some really good rides today.

I just love riding behind surfers and seeing what they’re seeing.  Isn’t this view amazing?

Everybody must have heard how good it was yesterday because there were triple the amount of surfers out there today.  Sorry, one day too late.  When will the next South swell come?  Maybe tomorrow, or maybe next year.  Don’t miss it.

As for Hashimoto-san Boot Camp, everything is going as planned.  I witnessed some amazing rides today.  Good job!

The Yoyo’s RockDance

If you ever surfed Yoyo’s on a very low tide before, you will know that there are 2 ways out to the lineup.  The safe way is paddling all the around on the far left which will take about 20 minutes.   The not so safe way is to walk over the reef and go straight out through the waves.  This is the way I always prefer because it’s the fastest and closest.

Just a few reef cuts on the feet but once you stand up, you forget about it.

And there are 2 ways to in.  One is to paddle all the way around which will take 20 minutes.  Or this super fast way which is to come in straight over the reef and walk.  Reef cuts, dings on boards, or broken fins are the risks so you have to be very careful.
