Left my house at 4:30am.
Returned to my house at 6:30pm.
Long day, long hours, and long dives.

Diving conditions were perfect.
40′ reef dives.
120′ blue water dives.
Clean water, warm, and so beautiful.

It’s been a long time spearfishing.
Dinner is caught.
Uku, mu, moana kali, munu, papio, and many more.
Fresh seafood dinner all week long.

Thank you Joshua Moniz and Benji Brand for inviting my on your all day dive trip.  Good to see you boys turn into amazing hunters, kind hearted, and lots of aloha.  Let’s do it again!

North shore sleeping at waist high.
Ala Moana flat to knee high.
Diamond Head waist high and good.
Light winds so perfect morning conditions.
Sunny and warm.
Going to the sea.

Diamond Head today was looking fun and challenging.  Winds backing off tomorrow as well as the swells around the island.  Come Tuesday, the first of 2 giant North/West swells will be arriving with light winds.  

Buying fishing supplies in Japan is the cheapest!  I went to a store in Wakayama and got all this for 1/3 the price you have to pay in Hawaii.  I just hope Hawaiian fish bite these Japanese hooks.  

Got a call from the boys this afternoon so went down to get my dive gear ready.  Hopefully tomorrow is going to be a dive day.  Will find out in the morning but I’m always ready to go.  

I have about 8 spearguns that I use.  They are all different sizes, work different, and are all powered different.  I usually choose 2 guns to take every time I go free diving.  Just like surfing, it depends on the conditions, depth, currents, and fish we are targeting.  You have to choose properly.
