Hot Happy Hawaiian Days!

OMG, it was so hot today.  We surfed Bowls early this morning and the waves were only chest high. Then it started to get bigger and bigger and more and more waves.  By 7am, it was overhead and pumping!  Round 2 was bigger and better and the temperature got up to 94 degrees!!!

After lunch, we went to check out a spot I haven’t been to in years.  It was warm, sunny, and perfect. I sent my student out and she remembered exactly how to surf this spot.  She was ripping!

This is some beautiful surfing.  Tomorrow should be bigger and better so get ready for a lot of surfing in the hot sun!

Went home and had dinner with Mateus.  He decided to eat his Pokeman noodles his Aunty Mia brought back from Japan.

And I ate some fresh Yamari shirasu from the Yamari family in Wakayama.  Everybody was happy today!

B.O.A.T

Owning a boat can be stressful.  I haven’t spent so much time and effort ever in my life taking care of anything like this.  If she’s not running well, I can’t sleep well.  So yes, I haven’t been sleeping well at all.

Troubleshooting takes a lot of thinking, processing, and visualizing.  I’m not a mechanic, but even a mechanic couldn’t figure this one out.  If I can’t fix it myself, that means I have to pull her out and hire a licensed mechanic.  And that could cost thousands.

B.O.A.T stands for “Bust Out Another Thousand” meaning the expenses keep on adding up.  I think I’m very close to fixing it but not guaranteed yet. I had a few more tests to do before I can celebrate.  And when she’s fixed, I can sleep like a baby again…
