B.O.A.T

Owning a boat can be stressful.  I haven’t spent so much time and effort ever in my life taking care of anything like this.  If she’s not running well, I can’t sleep well.  So yes, I haven’t been sleeping well at all.

Troubleshooting takes a lot of thinking, processing, and visualizing.  I’m not a mechanic, but even a mechanic couldn’t figure this one out.  If I can’t fix it myself, that means I have to pull her out and hire a licensed mechanic.  And that could cost thousands.

B.O.A.T stands for “Bust Out Another Thousand” meaning the expenses keep on adding up.  I think I’m very close to fixing it but not guaranteed yet. I had a few more tests to do before I can celebrate.  And when she’s fixed, I can sleep like a baby again…

June 24, 2023 Hawaii Surf Report

Ala Moana Eagles…

Good morning 3:15am.
South swell here!
Ala Moana chest high and getting bigger.
Diamond Head head high and bumpy.
Trade winds at 25mph.
Sunny and warm.
Going to surf.
Have a wonderful day!

Sunrise, Rainbows, and Rides

I was thinking since today was the last small day before the next South swell, we’d go surf somewhere totally different.  So we took the boat.

I sent the girls out and had them figure this new surf point on their own.  The did so good that I didn’t even have to paddle out.  I just watched the show from the boat.

When the swell is so small like it was today, you have to go searching for something bigger and better.  This was the best spot today.  It was so clean!

I stayed on the boat watching the surf, and watching the sunrise.

And also watching the rainbows.

Good job girls!  So cool and so calm.  Get ready for the next South swell because it’s coming!
