Sing me an Emoji

My dear friend Holli put together a Christmas Party last night.  All of us had no idea who was going to be there so it was kind of a surprise to see 20 of my bestest friends.  Started off with games, and ended up with hugs.

This game was very interesting.  You have to guess the Christmas song by the emojis.  Can you figure all of it out?  I’ll give you the answers tomorrow.  But for now, I’ll give you the answer for  #4: Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer

Our lovely girl friends put together goodies for us to take home.  I’m very grateful to have such beautiful friends in my life…

Sunset Surf Caddy

Back in the late 1980’s, the ASP World Tour use to finish in Hawaii.  Tony Moniz use to compete in all of the contests and I use to caddy for him.  A caddy’s job is to paddle out an extra surfboard just in case the competitor breaks his.  And if the competitor breaks his board, the caddy had to swim back in.  Back then, there were no jet skis so you were on your own.  This particular time was at the World Cup at Sunset Beach.  I remember the waves being really big!  Tony made it all the way to the semi-finals and the waves were solid 10-12′.  Thank goodness he didn’t break a board.  Haha.

I forgot who took this photo but Tony is in the blue competitors jersey.  I’m standing on the left side in front of his backup board.  I think the year was 1987 and I’m pretty sure Gary Elkerton won the contest.  Great memories 35 years ago today…
