Magic Monday: Best day of the Swell!

Round 1 Bowls:  This morning was the best day of the swell!  Overhead and perfect.  No wind, no crowd, cleanest conditions, and felt like Indonesia.  Eddie on the clean and easy takeoff.

Look how perfect this morning was!  OMG, the best conditions all month.

Orange hazy sunrise and super glassy conditions.

Nice ride Eddie!

Broken board.

10 minutes later:  Broken boards.

Good morning 3:20am.
The swell is coming down.
Ala Moana head high sets and good.
Diamond Head overhead and good.
Light winds this morning becoming South/East.
Sunny and warm.
Going to the sea.
Have a wonderful day!

Who’s to Blame? Experts Only!

Round 1:  Double overhead again.  Full moon and epic morning conditions.

Kunio san riding the inside.

So nice to surf with nobody around.  The end of a wave sent a week ago from New Zealand.

Round 2:  Surf check some secret spots.  This is the most deadly place in Hawaii.  More deaths here than at Pipeline.  Experts only!

Round 3:  Paddle out to the outside of Diamond Head with Mighty Mouse.  Just us and the sea.  Caught a big set each and rode it for 1 minute 30 seconds.  The best way to end the day.

Came home and saw another ripe lemon on the tree.  Home grown organic is the best.

Mighty Mouse went to check out the boat stuck on the reef at Kewalo’s.  I still can’t believe that boat was even out that day.  A very bad image for the Atlantis Submarine and the Hilton.

I’m just wondering how badly damaged the reef is at Kewalo’s?  I’m sure it’s pretty bad.  That’s a big and heavy boat scraping against fragile coral.
