Welcome Saint to the World!

of the past decades of surfing at Ala Moana, i never seen a massive box jellyfish invasion like this.  thousands and thousands of jellyfish from Waikiki to Ala Moana.   i think nature is so amazing!  well, that’s until you get stung.  haha…

being able to jump on a foil one wave, then a longboard on another, then a shortboard on another is very challenging.  not too many surfers can adapt, but once you do, you’re way ahead of the game.  everyday, the ocean looks a lot more fun then it use to…

went for a Italian night dinner with the city lights reflecting off the ocean.  so romantic…

eating this makes me want to go to Italy!

i want to welcome my new Grandnephew into this world!  this is Mateus’ new younger brother!  welcome Saint!   Uncle can’t wait to take you surfing!

Happy sunrise surfer…

Good morning 4:30am.
North shore chest high and good. Laniakea best. Coming up tonight.
Ala Moana waist high and good. Smaller than yesterday.
No more jellyfish.
Diamond Head chest high and bumpy.
Trade winds at 25mph.
Cloudy and rainy day. Hopefully the sun shines.
Going to the sea.
Have a wonderful day!

Better and Better

only a few box jellyfish on the beach so a lot of surfers back in the ocean.

Daisuke-san can’t believe he’s riding a short board now but i believe it.  if you dream it, you can do it.  good waves and good rides!

and good rainbows!

yesterday i rode a longboard and got bored.  so today i took out my foil because there is no way i’ll ever get bored of flying.

now i can get my wing out of the water and throw some sprays.  it feels so wild, and also feels so good!

and nothing feels better than watching someone get better and better.  Daisuke-san even tried my 5’10 today and surfed it perfectly.  this man has a lot of energy and a lot of motivation. after 8 days of surfing, i already see 5 years worth of results.  amazing!
