on the way out to the North shore, we were driving behind this cool K-Truck.  i think i might have to get one of those too.  haha…

for a Sunday, i was surprised how few people were out this morning.  just us 2 in the beginning!  then a couple more guys came out later but there were plenty of waves for everybody.  perfect overhead powerful surf with nice conditions.

if i go out to the North shore on the weekends, it’s mandatory to stop off at Ray’s Kiawe Broiled Chicken.  it’s the best!

while we were eating lunch, the chickens came to fight for the chicken we were eating.  that was pretty weird.

this is the best hulihuli chicken you will find on this island.  only $9 for this plate, you can’t go wrong…

it was another beautiful morning on the North shore.  i’m starting to love it out there!

i went to Pyzel’s shop on the North shore.  it was pretty cool to see the relationship he formed with John John Florence from the very start.  if it wasn’t for John John, Pyzel wouldn’t be where he is today.  and if it wasn’t for Pyzel, John John wouldn’t be where he is today.  that’s what you call a wonderful Surfer/Shaper relationship.

this is what you call delicious Japanese food.  thank you Nao-san for making my mouth water right now.  i wish i was there!  

omg, i love katsuo tataki!  it looks so fresh!

and i love raw oysters!  since i can’t get a flight to Japan, i might have to paddle my surfboard there.  and i’m going straight to this secret restaurant!

Ala Moana knee high and clean.
Diamond Head waist high and bumpy.
Trade winds getting stronger at 25mph.
Sun, showers, and rainbows.
