if one of your dreams was to buy a home in Hawaii, you can forget about it for now.  the median price for a single family home is a record $1,000,000!  when i graduated from High School, the median price was only $158,600.  unbelievable…  

the prices went up 23% in just one year.  and we’re in a pandemic???  

anyway, let’s forget about buying a house now and focus on the quality of life.  that black puppy is a new addition to the Moniz family.  

Keahi seems to love him!  and in about 3 months, that puppy will be 2x bigger than Keahi.  cute for now, but scary for me later.  by the way, his name is Storm…

Mayuki can hold enough fuel to go to Molokai, Maui, and Lanai on one trip pretty easily.  it was made for the long channel crossings, and it was made for the roughest waves you can imagine.  if you did a channel crossing with me when the waves broke over the whole boat, you would be surprised.  anyway, i went to fill up her tanks and now she’s ready for anything.

when i’m spending $500 to fill up the tanks, i think “wow, gas is so expensive.”  but when i experience moments like this, i think “wow, this is priceless….”   and to me, priceless is greater then any amount of money…
