Exercise of the day:  Foiling…

Good morning 4:30am.

Ala Moana waist to chest high and little bumpy.

Diamond Head chest high and good.

Heavy rain, thunder, and lighting.

Light winds so good morning conditions.  Trade winds back this afternoon.

Going to exercise.

Have a wonderful day!

Is Japan Closing?

haven’t been to Bowls for a while.  felt weird driving past the Hilton Hawaiian Village which is closed.  it’s like a ghost town…there was a huge pitbull running down my street.  it was lost and lucky the owner came to get him after.  and luckily he didn’t bite me…now that we’re on lockdown, the thieves are coming out.  and getting caught on camera.  that’s crazy!now that Starbucks closed 850 stores in Japan, i think reality is setting in for people in Japan.  huge corporations can see the future better than anyone.  and if they are going to shut down businesses, you know this is real.  so buckle up everyone because this is just the start.  expect more closures very soon…

The Ocean is our Resource…

the water was a little dirty but that’s good for hunting.  you can barely see me on the bottom right?  neither could the fish…
when i’m in hunting mode, i’m totally calm, relaxed, and focused.  so when i see a shark come from the back over my shoulder, i tend to freak out.  haha.  there was actually a pretty big shark that came to dive with us…

i took Shin to my secret spot that always produces.  i told him to look under that ledge and you will see big kumu’s.

it’s a kumu house and there are usually 3 or 4 big ones in there.  my golden rule is to spear only one.  and that’s why i can go back there for the past 30 years and there will always be fish.  he speared one and that was it.  diving responsible…

i was watching Maki-san hunting in the reef.  she hasn’t gone spearing fish in a year but hunting is something you won’t forget.

good job Maki-san!

this is the love of my life…

i dropped Shin off at Bowls.  i’m sure everybody must have been freaking out when he walked back to his car like that.  haha.

i came home and looked into my refrigerator.  this will be a happy week for me!  thank you Mother Nature for providing your beautiful resources.  i’m looking forward to sashimi, fried, and steamed fish!
