Poisoned in Japan

There is always a first experience for me even if I don’t ask for it. I’m a sukiyaki lover. In Hawaii, you won’t find anywhere that serves good sukiyaki. So when I’m in Japan, I crave for this dish! I was so excited to see the fresh vegetables and meat come out. So I snapped this photo. Looks so good!!!

I was enjoying this amazing meal. Then as I was finishing up, something seemed strange. I felt a little weird. I felt my stomach feeling so full. It’s normal for me to feel full because I always eat too much, but it was a little different kind of full. Anyway, I pay the bill, walk outside, and things started to feel weirder. Something was telling me to look for a restroom. And it was telling me to look very fast. So I see a Starbucks a few blocks away. Then my body started to shut down as I was approaching the restroom. I felt the same feeling I did when I got food poisoning in Bali 2 years ago. Thank goodness for Starbucks!

The worst thing about the whole thing is I was on my long way back to Hawaii. That sucked! This is the first time I ever got food poisoning in Japan. Was it the meat? Was it the vegetables? What was it? I don’t know what it was, but I know I’ll never eat sukiyaki in Japan for a long time. I thought Japan is the last place in the world for something like this to happen to me. I was wrong…

Iceman

I was sitting in a really nice bar learning about ice. I didn’t know there were different types of ice for different purposes. When ever I drink a Jack/coke in Hawaii, my drink is all watered down by the time I finish. But in Japan, it’s perfect till the last sip. That’s because of the type of ice they use. It takes many days to make this block of ice and takes a very long time for it to melt. So the next time you go to a nice bar in Japan, order your drink and you will be so happy to the last sip.

And one more thing. Get ready for a hangover! Haha…

Good food makes me happy!

Very happy!!!
