Crispy Sidewalk Roast Pork

so fun surfing with Kamata-san! it was her very first time surfing so i’m sure she was nervous on this first wave. and probably super surprised too.

then once she rode it for a while, the nerves settled down and out came the smile.

yes, it’s never to late to start surfing. if you can enjoy the ocean like this, you will enjoy your life a lot more.

thank you Kamata-san for the super fun surf session!

more uncooked pigs thrown on the ground again in Chinatown. no, not the Chinatown in China which this would be normal. this is Hawaii Chinatown and this is looking normal these days. no wonder the crispy roast pork is so tasty! haha.

Dolphin Tour Waikiki… Photo by Todaheli

Good morning 6:40am.
Ala Moana chest high and good.
Diamond Head shoulder high and bumpy.
Trade winds at 20mph.
Sunny and warm.
Going surfing and foiling.
Have a wonderful day!

Come Sail Away with me!

felt like eating Japanese food so i went out to eat Japanese food. started off with these spicy tuna appetizers.

this chawanmushi was amazing. it was topped off with uni and ikura. very unique…

this was my main entree. pretty dam good for Hawaii! yes, i miss Japan so much, but this will have to do for now. hopefully the next sushi photo i post will be from Japan! hopefully…

had a wonderful morning surf followed by a healthy lunch with Kamata-san. we had an amazing morning!

i just love this mixed avocado sandwich. this is one of the few sandwiches that can’t be duplicated at home. only served at this secret restaurant…

drove through Waikiki and saw this nice car parked under a banyan tree.

well, it use to be nice. haha. i couldn’t believe how much bird poop there was on it???

yes, my dream has always been to sail around the world. so i finally decided to make that dream come true. first step is to learn how to sail. so don’t be surprised to see me doing this in a few months. haha. but really, i’ve already been studying how to sail and hopefully i can get out there very soon…
