when ever i see a “roy,” i always try to get them first. the reason is because i have a friend who loves it, and roy is an invasive species here in hawaii. they need to get wiped out before it ruins our precious hawaiian ecosystem more than it already has. so if i see one, i’d spear it before i would spear dinner. it’s for long term purposes.

roy’s are pretty easy to shoot. it took me years and years to prefect it, but now i can shoot pretty much every one i see.

one more taken out of our ecosystem. i don’t want these ruining the precious molokai ocean.

after our green flash moment, it was dinner time. it seemed like we were eating and singing for hours.

then the midnight stars came out and it was time to star gaze. i slept watching the stars, and woke up watching the stars. it was freaking so beautiful! something you will never see on oahu.

then watched the beautiful golden sunrise.

this was our view in the morning. it felt like we were sleeping on a giant waterbed!

then Mia making breakfast in the kitchen.

omg, the ramen was unbelievable! made with love.

did you ever see the movie “The Blue Lagoon?” this is the hawaiian version of it. makes you just want to jump into it!

swimming together and watching my little mermaid flowing so freely brings tears of joy to my eyes. to me, these moments are totally priceless! can’t wait to do it again! you better be ready to go!
My Little Mermaid Princess
Revised: Lucky Molokai Waihine’s!

everybody around me already knows i’m spontaneous. nothing planned, just go for it. so the day before yesterday evening, i decided to go to molokai. made a couple calls and nobody turned down the offer even though it was for departure the next morning at 5:30pm. so i got shopping at 10pm to load up, go down to load the boat, come home at midnight, and sleep for 3 hours before heading back out.

i always plan my day around the sunrise. i wanted to see the sunrise on the way so we left right in time. it was pretty windy so i was a little concerned.

once we took the turn at diamond head, it was like typhoon winds and swell. big swells breaking over Mayuki and i almost u-turned 3 times. i thought there was no way we would make it. but, the only reason i didn’t turn around was because i didn’t want to disappoint my crew as they were so excited. plus, i have the upmost respect and confidence that Mayuki will get us there. i don’t think the girls had any idea how dangerous it was. it was freaking wet and wild!

while hanging on for our dear lives, i threw out the poles because we needed food. caught some katsuo! lucky!

on a normal 1.5 hour easy ride, it took us 4 hours of hell. and once we arrived on Molokai, we were all calm and at ease. my crew of girls were happy to arrive, but what i was really thinking was “omg, tomorrow is going to be more windy and dangerous, how the heck are we going to get back to oahu?” oh well, enjoy the time and think about it later right?

the girls and their girlfriends. enjoying heaven after hell.

there are 2 reasons why i decided to go to molokai. one was to research more about the island. this is for future trips. and the other was to give Mayuki the real test. this is by far the most farthest and most dangerous trip across i took with her, and not to mention, one of the most dangerous channels in the world. research was successful. and the glory of Mayuki was successful too. you wouldn’t believe how many times we almost flipped over.

as the sun was setting, i was just trying to be my positive self and was saying “ok girls, get ready for the “Green Flash.” i watched over 10,000 sunsets and only witnessed 2 green flashes. then right as the sun went down, “BOOM! GREEN FLASH!!!” OMG, are you kidding me???

i’m sure the girls will never ever forget this amazing moment. i sure won’t as it’s only my 3rd experience in my life. slept over, spent another day, and just came home now. i’m so tired, but very happy tired. goodnight.
