omg, the waves were so good today!

Hasegawa-san and his son Taiki-kun were the luckiest surfers in the world! only 2 guys out at one of the most crowded spot on the south shore. here is Hasegawa-san on wave 3 of 20.

Hasegawa-san surfs really good! he was so stoked to score such perfect waves!

had a few barrels too! so beautiful conditions!

we were so happy today. the 3 of us caught about 50 waves today. no stress, no people, and no worries.

Taiki-kun was getting better and better on each wave. seen him doing some nice turns by the end of the session.

super cool surfer kid. so lucky his dad got him into surfing at such a young age.

even Rodney told me “wow, this is the first time this year i surfed it this good with this little guys out. we scored.”

so happy eating our loco moco. then Hasegawa-san and Taiki-kun went back to their hotel to take a happy afternoon nap. thank you chiba boys!

then i headed home to grab the new toy. picked up Asayama-san and drove around the whole island! we were like 2 teenagers having the fast and the furious time of our lives!

ended it with the most beautiful sunset shining on the rainbow. then the full moon to close it. i don’t know how i have so much energy? i feel like a teenager again!
Epic and Lucky Surf Session
Cure Beer and Uber Festival!

i worked all day, got home at 6:15, changed, and headed down to the Cure concert! i still had water in my ears and sand on my feet. but hey, who cares? we get in and find our seats. i knew this was our assigned seats, but i also knew we won’t be here for too long. it was just way too far.

made multiple beer runs. so cool bumping into all my old school friends. guys i haven’t seen for years, but we all knew where to come on this night. i bought 8 32oz. beers so that’s like 16 regular beers. Carter bought 8 too. so we had a total of 32 beers!!! where did it all go??? haha.

it was an amazing concert. the older crowd of us acting like teenagers! the Cure was huge back in the 80’s and there are so many great memories attached to each and every song.

so after a couple of beers, it was time to make our way to the front. umm, still a little too far.

so we creeped up a little more and ended up in Row 5! we stayed there all night long! it was the best seats in the house and it was standing room only!

check out our view. omg, chicken skin all night!

they had encore after encore. totaling 9 more songs. so lucky!

these 2 puerto rican ladies were sitting next to us and jumping and dancing up and down the isles. it was hilarious! that’s what good music can do to people. i must have jumped up and down a thousand times. haha.

adding to all the beers, i forgot about the 4 little bottles of jacksan. haha.

no way i was taking a chance to drive home so i called uber. got home after midnight, slept at 1am, and woke up at 5am feeling like a kid again! went to work with the Cure songs still in my head. can’t wait for the next concert!
