gosh, yesterday was so hot! 33 degrees C but the cool trade winds was like a free air conditioner. i’m predicting a very very hot summer!

i can’t believe the beautiful mountains is so close to the ocean. you can be in packed concrete jungle waikiki in one minute, then in the lush green mountains 10 minutes later.

and when you go into the mountains, you will never know what you will see. a girl in a bikini in the mountains? i bet you she had 100 mosquito bites on her ass. haha.

taking a break from the ocean and heading to the mountains was a great idea. needed to reset my mind, especially after seeing a tiger shark. haha.

congratulations Asayama-san for making the hike to the beautiful happy ending. i’m sure our legs will be hurting all day today. but once we catch our first wave, we will forget all about it. and i’m not surprised you didn’t wear your brand new shoes we bought for hiking because i didn’t too. haha.

when ever i go to okinawa, i have some eyes on me. one guy especially watching all my moves. and i wouldn’t be surprised he plants a GPS on me someday. haha. so hey Takahashi-san, i got my eyes on you too! not only my eyes, but other eyes you don’t know. nice new car! lucky 777!

i had an awesome time with Okuda-san and the girls this morning. just happy surfers enjoying the ocean so much.

Natsumi-chan is the boss. super bright and intelligent young lady. her first time surfing and she did great!

Sarasa-chan on her first wave too. just enjoying the moment.

Mai-chan caught some long ones. her last one was the biggest set of the day.

Okuda-san is a cool surfer dude from osaka. been surfing 20 years so knows most of the hard core surfers i do. had a great conversation talking about isanoura and surfing history in japan.

and Okuda-san caught some good waves on the outside.

gosh, i love this photo. just the beauty of surfing in hawaii. thank you Okuda-san and the girls. had so much fun surfing and laughing all morning long!

and yes, the boss Natsumi-san wanted to eat acai bowl so we ate acai bowl. nice way to cool down after a hot surf session.

then went to pick up Asayama-san in the afternoon and headed straight to the mountains for a hike. waves small this afternoon so figure we’d get some exercise before the swell hits tomorrow!
