it’s full on summer here in hawaii so when the kids ask me to take them into the ocean, i try my best. i always wanted to be a teacher in the classroom, but i think now i want to become a teacher in the ocean. teaching the kids about having fun in the nature. we pretty much did and saw everything today! first, it’s always tubing!

i’m driving full speed just cracking up! watching the kids screaming so loud and having so much fun. you won’t have this much fun on any iPhone app. haha.

was teaching one of the kids how to spear fish. i explained to him a lot on the boat, then i told him “just watch what i do, and copy everything.” i even explained to him how every fish reacts in a different way. so when i seen this Mu swimming, i had to use a different approach. and once again, it worked perfectly. the trick to spearing fish, is to act like a fish. this will be my wonderful dinner tomorrow night. and i bet you that kid will spear his own dinner someday soon.

another terrorist attack in turkey. it’s so crazy how all these bad things are happening to places i had planned to visit this year. something is telling me to stay home. better listen to my instincts.

had an awesome time surfing with Aoki-san yesterday morning. super cool surfer that’s hooked on surfing. caught and rode some excellent waves!

Aoki-san rode around 20 waves! each and every wave getting better and better. and each wave smiling more and more.

thank you Aoki-san for the wonderful morning. you surfed so good! just remember the basics and you will excel in surfing.

went back in the ocean for an evening and night session way outside waikiki. stoked to see old time friends. i met this doctor 21 years ago in G-Land. he’s been going there for 29 years straight. hard core surfer.

so stoked to spend the evening surfing and night drinking with my friend Scott Countryman. i met Scott 13 years ago in the philippines and we just became natural friends from the start. so when he called me from hawaii, i was so excited to meet him. we loaded up a cooler full of beers, headed out to the ocean, surfed Three’s, and drank until the night. Scott ended up catching the best wave at Three’s in the evening. so nice catching up with you Scott! let’s do it all over again!
