Haleiwa good at 4-8′!!!!

when ever something bad happens around the world, i always think about my friends living there. so when i heard about the shutdown and demonstration in thailand, i thought about Matsu. so getting an “ok” text and photos from Matsu yesterday was a relief.

Matsu lives right in the heart of bangkok so he knows how things are going. if you watch the news, you see all the bad images, but Matsu’s photos tell us a different story. it actually looks like a big party.

he said they block off the streets only at night.

cool to see smiled during hard times like this.

i texted back Matsu “if the lady boys are smiling, everything must be ok.” haha. i haven’t been to thailand for a long time and i can’t wait to go back. thanks Matsu for the photos and please keep us posted.

i’ve been spending so much time in the ocean. and meeting ocean people from all walks of life is fun. check out this little 10′ dingy with twin outboard motors. so cool!

Good morning 5:30am.
North shore coming up. 4-6′ in the morning becoming 15-18′ this afternoon. South shore junk wind swell. Chest high at Diamond Head but super bumpy. West winds at 10mph so junk conditions everywhere EXCEPT East side. Maybe ok morning surf ok on North shore but onshore wind coming soon. Go East side? I think so.
