good evening. what another amazing day. just enjoying the surf, enjoying friends, enjoying the weather, and enjoying the laughter. what an amazing life!

it took some thinking, some planning, and some back roads to get into ala moana bowls this morning for day 3 of AMV’s Surf School. the gay parade had all of waikiki blocked off so timing was everything. but once we got in by the last minute, it was all about surfing. the fun, the sun, the waves, and the smiles. it was just another amazing morning at the beach.
somebody asked me the other day “kirby, do you ever get tired of working so much.” i told him “not at all, my job makes people happy and my job makes me happy. what more could you ask for? my job is the best, and i love my job so much.” then i grabbed 10 surfboards and loaded it in the truck. and as i drove home, i was wondering what i’d be doing if i didn’t surf. it’s a scary thought and i don’t even want to think about it.
so hey, enjoy your job, enjoy the people, enjoy life.

wanted to thank my buddy Mike for sending me these cool photos from yesterday. this is diamond head, the most consistent spot on the south shore.

diamond head cliffs. i use to surf here everyday. now i’m too lazy to hike up and down the mountain. haha. thanks again Mike and see you in the water.
