Military Diving

when you go diving, you just never know what you will see. sharks, whales, dolphins, and submarines? yesterday hayato and i got chased down by a military boat speeding towards us with sirens on and flashing blue lights. i was thinking “OMG, what did i do wrong now?” the told us to back off, meaning, get out of the way. then i look outside and see a huge military submarine coming for us. we watched it cruise on past us and it was pretty cool.
15 years ago, a friend and i were diving in a channel that we weren’t supposed to be. as i was laying 40′ down trying to spear a fish, i seen a huge shadow coming from the outside. i thought it was a whale. then i looked again and seen a submarine the same size as the one we seen yesterday. 5 minutes later, the military police on speedboats with machine guns drawn at us came up to us and said “what the f@#k are you guys doing!!!!” i thought we were going to get shot. and now that i look back at that, we should have gotten shot. that was stupid. could you imagine how the driver of the submarine felt when he seen me lying on the bottom of the ocean in a full wetsuit, cap, gloves, and speargun pointed? i’m glad he didn’t send a torpedo at me.
