after my first dive yesterday, my body went into shock. the water was so cold, then when we got out, the wind was cold. hayato and i were freezing, kyle had a thicker wetsuit on so he was fine. i was so cold i couldn’t even talk. got home, put sweat pants and shirt on, socks, wrapped myself in a thick blanket, and went to bed around 3pm. 1 hour later, i woke up dripping in sweat and felt powerless. i couldn’t even get up to drink water. lying there, i was thinking “OMG, i caught a cold!!!” then i thought back from that morning. “i didn’t drink water all day!!!” i woke up and rushed around forgetting to drink my morning 3 glasses of water, and no water while diving, and no water on the boat, and no water when i got home. i drank 2 sports drinks but doesn’t work, water is my life. without it, i’d be dead. anyway, i drink 3 liters of water last night, went to sleep at 8pm, wake up at 6am feeling totally perfect. come to find out, i was dehydrated. but thank goodness i’m not sick or that would suck!

a few months ago, kimura-san gave me some towels. the coolest yamari custom towels. super light, super fast drying, and super good. i’ve been using it ever since. yesterday, kimura-san gave some to the moniz kids. my sister took it home, wrote their names on it, and now it’s hanging in their house. my sister told me that the towels are so nice that she doesn’t want to use it and get it dirty. that’s so funny because i felt the same way when i got it. haha. i better go write my name on mine so nobody steals it. have a beautiful day!

Have a wonderful day!
Bad Day?
i don’t remember the last time i had such a bad day. maybe 15 years ago? well, it all started out early this morning when i went to my garage to hook my boat up for a dive.

you have to be kidding me???? flat tire? OMG!

luckily i’m such an organized person that i keep a spare of everything. so i grab the spare, change it, and was ready to go.

my grandpa osaki was a fisherman. he use to always tell me never go fishing with oily hands. why? because the fish don’t like the smell of oil. i did my best to wash it off. and it made me realize how much i hate dirty oily hands. and how much i hate flat tires.

we get down to the boat ramp. my sister, tony, kimura-san, atsuko-san were all down there. had a fun talk and took off.

things were looking bright. but my oily hands proved it right. when hayato and kyle were in the water, they saw big fish. but when it was my turn, all i saw were 6 hungry sharks going crazy around me. no big catch today and that’s the part about blue water diving. you either catch a fish that can feed a hundred people, or you don’t. today wasn’t our day. maybe next time? never give up!!!!
and to top it all off, i felt like i was dying when i got back home. from the cold water, from the cold wind, and from not enough water in my body. i still feel pretty junky. goodnight.
