want to thank my sister for shooting and sending me the sequence of the day from Pipeline today. the waves were breaking 12′ plus on the outer reef so hanging inside and dodging the big close out sets is like a game. here Isaiah Moniz gets a jewel! super stoked to see my nephew making his name out there and getting a pretty big wave standing tall in the barrel. go-isaiah!!!

this is a surfers dream. to take off, bottom turn, and stand tall in a huge barrels is the ultimate feeling.

see that big wave in the back? if isaiah didn’t catch this wave, he would be free diving the one in the back. good choice!

after isaiah got barreled, he flew back to town for a photo shoot. i was lucky to be the photographer and stay tuned for the upcoming FINE magazine to hit the shelves. how lucky am i to be able to work with my nephew? dream job! i got some funny photos today but can’t show them to you. you’ll see the real side of this shy kid. haha.
