i will never forget the amazing surfing that went down at macaroni’s on our last trip. the young top kids from around the world doing some innovative maneuvers that don’t even have names for. there is this one kid that stood out. Matt Meola is 22 years old from maui. not even guys like kelly slater, clay marzo, john florence, or anybody comes close to this kids air talent. last year, he won a $100,000 check for Taylor Steel’s first innersection. if this guy goes on tour, he would be getting 10 point rides with one maneuver. i wasn’t going to shoot the guys out at macaroni’s because they weren’t with me. but because i’m from america and i’m proud to live in a free country! i can do anything i want. haha. check out this sequence of a trick that’s probably not even named yet.
