magic hands in maldives.
mati is from hawaii kai and is one of the top masseuses in hawaii. how
do i know? well, first of all, she’s completed a few Ironmen
competitions so she knows what muscles needs to be worked on, and
second, she works on a few friend athletes from japan and hawaii that
only use the best. she has some magic hands that has been fixing up my
body that i’ve been beating up over all these years. for 2 weeks
straight, i’ll be getting a massage everyday right here in paradise.
we traveled here together from hawaii and all we talk about is how lucky
we are. to be on the other side of the world doing what you love to
do. for mati, it’s massages and training. for me, it’s diving and
surfing. watching her going to japan and here for the first time is
really funny for me. why? because it reminds me of the first time i
went to japan and the maldives. everything was “OH MY GOSH!!!” japan
was 21 years ago, maldives was 6, but everything feels so new and
fresh. not too many people from hawaii get to experience what we are
and because of that, we’re loving every minute, every breath, and every
day. the only bummer thing is that we will both be sad when this is all
over. but then again, there’s always next year? haha.
Magic Hawaii Hands in Maldives
Maldives Day 1
day 1 was amazing. did 2 awesome dives in the blue/emerald water. seen
turtles, sharks, dogtooth tunas, GT’s, and every kind of fish you can
think of. for the next week, my focus is to look for whale sharks,
dolphins, and sea horses. every time i walk back to my villa, i have a
smile on my face. i still can’t believe i’m on one of the most
beautiful luxury island in the world. the staff here is amazing. they
do everything and are so kind. can’t beat the location, service, and
experience. i seen so many photos of this place, but nothing is like
the real thing. my room up on the 2nd floor is still untouched. only
went up there to look at it. my favorite spot to sleep is on the deck.
i can wake up, and just jump into the cleanest water in the world. the
food here is awesome too. just too much to explain. 5 more days till
part 1 of this dream trip is over. part 2 is going to be even crazier!!!
there are little sharks swimming around outside my villa, i’m got my
good camera set up so the next time i hope to get some underwater
fisheye photos. well, gotta get going. there are just too many things
to do here and the last place where i want to be now is on my computer
getting a stiff neck. have a great day!
