Cold water in Hawaii?
do you know that the average water temperature for hawaii is 76-81 degrees F. that is 24.4-27.2 degrees C. from a month or so ago, the water has been cold! town much colder than the north shore. i took my dive watch out to see how cold the water really was. it read 73 degrees F, or 22.7 C. this is much lower than the average and i’m glad i have a good wetsuit or else i’d be freezing cold! thank you Dove Wetsuits Japan!

so here is my advice for all you surfers coming over to hawaii to surf. bring a long sleeve rubber top. it will keep you warm, it will keep you warm, and it will keep you warm. i see everybody looking so cold recently and i feel sorry for them. the water is chilly, the wind gets chilly sometimes, and if your chilly, surfing isn’t fun. when will this be over? i think it’s safe to say that the water will be cold until the end of march. it usually warms up from april. hope this helps.
