i usually don’t plan things and like to do things spontaneous. when i climbed Mt. Fuji, nothing was planned. i was eyeing out that mountain for years and when i finally had a day break between chasing typhoons and work in japan, i charged. it was much farther than i expected, it was much colder than i expected, and it was much more challenging than i expected. i almost gave up 2 times because i was freezing cold and my throbbing headache wouldn’t go away. in the back of my mind, i didn’t know when my next chance will be so i just kept on climbing. once i got to the top, i felt like i was on top of the world. i’ll never forget that day. as i was going down the mountain, i was telling myself “no way i’m doing this again!” well, my mind has changed since. if i’m passing by Mt. Fuji and have another chance, i’m climbing it again. the morning sunrise will be etched in my mind forever!

as the sun was creeping up to the clouds, all i could feel was the magic of the mountain entering my mind, body, and soul. the feeling was just unexplainable.
