GO-NAMINORI INTERVIEW: YASUSHI ONO

the first time i met yassan was back in 1992 when tokura-san took me to shikoku to surf a typhoon. even though i was sponsored by another surfboard company, yassan was really nice to me and treated me really good. when i left on that trip, he told me “kirby, come to shikoku anytime, just call me.” i’ve been going back ever since then and in 1994, yassan became more than just a friend to me. he became my sponsor. for the past 17 years, TSSC has provided me with probably a thousand surfboards. we’ve been through a lot, we’ve grown together, and TSSC has been like a family to me. i want to thank yassan, the office crew, the factory crew, the shapers, the riders, and every single customer that bought a TSSC surfboard. you’ve been supporting me for all these wonderful years and i’m living a dream life thanks to you all! see you in shikoku soon!
